THIS IS A JACKPOT COMPETITION WITH NO RULES – JUST THE BEST FOOD.  WE DON’T CARE WHAT YOU COOK OR WHERE YOU COOK IT OR HOW!  All money will be paid out to winners

*Registration for Friday Night Feed if you have not entered in advance

Pits & meat will be checked  for Saturday’s competition

6:00 p.m.

Cooking starts (if not checked by a Judge, ok to cook anyway) for Saturday’s competition

* Gates open to public for Sampling of Friday Night Feed competitors.  Remember the team that makes the most money wins the People’s Friday Night Feed Choice award.  There will be a People’s Choice Award also for the CTBA cook-off on Saturday.

COOK-OFF AGENDA SATURDAY MARCH 17TH

Gates open – Last year we had over 40 teams.

FYI-  This is a fundraiser for the Bandera Kronkosky Library .  All entry fees will be collected and the Library will receive one half of the fees.  The remaining half will be paid out to the winners depending on the number of cook teams entered.  Special Trophies, designed by Ester Benedict will be awarded in all categories for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.  Only one trophy will be given for Best Pit, Best Theme, Bloody Marys, Margaritas and People’s Choice.  The team with overall best scores will win the coveted Master Chef’s Trophy  This is our 10th year and we have always had the same pay out rules.

Turn in Bean entries for competition. Each team will be given a 16 oz container to present beans to judges. Beans may be soaked over night. No ingredients in the beans can be bigger than the bean!

Award will only be given to Grand Champion Beans .

1:00 p.m.

Turn in Chicken for competition. Each entry will be given a clam shell container to put competition meat in. Prizes will be awarded for 3rd, 2nd, 1st, and Grand Champion. Cash prizes and trophy for 1st Place, 2nd Place and 3rd Place.

2:00 p.m.

Pork-Rib Competition Begins. Each team will be given a Clam shell container to present competition meat to judges. Cash awards and trophy will be given for 1st Place. Ribbons will awarded for 2nd and 3rd Place.

3:00 p.m.

Best Brisket Competition Begins. Each team will be given a Clam shell container to present competition meat to judges. Cash awards and trophy will be given for 1st Place, 2nd and 3rd Place.

3:30 p.m.

Theme and Best Pit judging from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Now’s the time to put on your best show! One award per Category.

4:30 p.m.

Best Margarita Competition. Awards will be given for Grand Champion Margarita only.

6:00 p.m.

Awards & AFTER PARTY!

Additional awards will include : Master Chef, Team with the Most Points and People's Choice Award (Team that raises the most $)
